February 19, 2015 – Today, rising Houston MC Roosh Williams releases “Whip It,” the fourth single from his forthcoming album Unorthodox due out this Tuesday, February 24th. Produced by Trakksounds, Roosh collaborates with fellow Houstonite GT Garza to flip The Dazz Band’s hit song “Let It Whip.”
“Let It Whip” by the Dazz Band is one of my all-time favorite songs,” explains Roosh. “And, well… I ate some mushrooms a couple summers ago and was jamming some old school funk music. And when the song came on, I immediately got an idea to sample it, lol.”
“As for GT, he’s one of my favorite artists in Houston,” says Roosh. “He’s one of the best MC’s around, but lately he’s been all over the radio countdowns in the city with hits. I wanted to bring out the old GT in case people forgot how lethal he is, and he killed it.”
