#ContinuousColdTrend @drdre and @lilyallen take on ice bucket challenge as @GwynethPaltrow challenges @coldplay Chris Martin

Kendrick Lamar, Lily Allen and Dr. Dre have become the latest musicians to take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge while Gwyneth Paltrow has challenged Coldplay’s Chris Martin after doing it herself.

Artists including Drake, Lady Gaga, Iggy Azalea, Justin Timberlake and Foo Fighters have already joined in with the charity campaign which is sweeping social media this week. It’s all in aid of charity ALS Association and raising awareness of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a terminal illness which causes muscles to weaken and stiffen.

Dr. Dre was soaked with ice-cold water after being challenged by Apple CEO Tim Cook and, in turn, challenged Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar. Under the rules of the challenge, you have 24 hours to accept the challenge or donate $100 to the ALS Assosciation.

Kendrick Lamar was the first of those challenged by Dre to accept, and shared the following video online. He challenged Serena Williams, Samuel L Jackson and Ellen DeGeneres to follow in his footsteps.

Other artists to undertake the challenge in the past 24 hours include Lily Allen, Disclosure and Jessie Ware. Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow has challenged her ex-husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, to undertake the challenge. He has yet to respond at the time of writing.

In the past month, the ALS Assosciation has received £19m in donations, 16 times the amount it had received over the same period last year.
