Lisa Vidal (American Horror Story, Being Mary Jane, CSI: Miami) plays the recurring guest star role of ‘Daisey Villa,’ Detective Villa’s mom (Jaina Lee Ortiz). Not exactly the picture of maternal wholesomeness; an older version of Villa, with the same spit-fire attitude. She is sexy and striking but perhaps just past her prime; fighting the clock at every turn and winning. Very comfortable in her skin now that she has reclaimed her life while Villa was living in New York. We immediately see that mother and daughter know how to push each other’s buttons.
