For the 57 or so people who remember and are checking for new Guerilla Black music, don’t hold your breath. The rapper who rose to prominence for 15 minutes back in 2004 because he sounded like the Notorious B.I.G. has been sentenced to nine years in the bing for credit card fraud.

This past Friday (Oct. 25), Guerilla Black was sentenced to over nine years in prison on charges of credit card fraud. Black, whose real name is Charles Tony Williamson, purchased and used thousands of credit card numbers that were stolen from businesses located in Seattle. US Attorney Jenny Durkan stated that the west coast rapper bought over 27,000 credit card numbers from a Maryland hacker, among other sources, between January 2011 and February 2012. Guerrilla Black was sentenced to 110 months in prison, once he is released he will have five years of supervised release.
Guess those rap checks dried up real quick when the jig was up for Black’s rap talents. Coincidentally, at one time Guerilla Black was managed by Jimmy Henchman, who was recently sentenced to life in prison for cocaine trafficking.
