Last month, the Los Angeles Clippers owner rankled people with his racist comments.
Last month, alleged audio emerged of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making a series of racist statements against Blacks.
The audio, which was allegedly recorded April 9 and was posted by TMZ April 25, features the owner in an argument with V. Stiviano over an image she posted with Magic Johnson.
During their conversation, Sterling says, among other things, that “It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with Black people. Do you have to?”
Sterling says that he doesn’t mind his girlfriend, who is Black and Mexican, being around other Blacks.
“You can sleep with [Black people],” he says in the audio, which is available below. “You can bring them in. You can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.”
Today (May 22), 50 Cent says that Sterling was betrayed.
“I couldn’t get past the concept of looking at an older man talking to a woman he’s in love with and making probably the biggest compromise ever, saying maybe, ‘If you like them, be with them. Sleep with them. Just don’t embarrass me,’” 50 Cent says during an interview posted by XXL. “So some of the things he said following that were inappropriate, but he’s saying to you that there’s other people around that I’m being embarrassed by that think and feel the way I feel. Now you’ve got one person that you’re pointing to, penalizing for that. He’s actually saying at that point, ‘Just don’t embarrass me,’ meaning there’s other people that feel exactly like me here to be embarrassed by. I just watched it and I just saw a man being betrayed.”
Last month, Snoop Dogg posted a response to Sterling’s comments on his Instagram account.
“A message to the muthafucka that own the Clippers,” Snoop Dogg says in his post. “You bitch-ass, redneck, white-bred, chicken shit muthafucka: Fuck you, your momma and everything connected to you you racist piece of shit. Fuck you.”
