Hip hop has officially joined the fight to bring justice to Ferguson, Mo. in light of the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown.

Led by rapper The Game, some of hip hop’s biggest names, including Diddy and Swizz Beatz, came together to record an anthem called “Don’t Shoot” for the civil unrest that has been occurring in Ferguson.

“The issues in Ferguson really hit home for me, and I feel compelled to use my musical platform to address this,” The Game told Rolling Stone magazine. “I am a Black man with kids of my own that I love more than anything, and I cannot fathom a horrific tragedy like Michael Brown’s happening to them. This possibility has shaken me to my core. That is why this song must be made and why it was so easy for so many of my friends to come together and unite against the injustice.”

Other artists on the song are Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, Problem, King Pharaoh and TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank). All of the sales from the single, released on iTunes Wednesday, will be donated to the Justice for Mike Brown GoFundMe account.

We’re glad to see today’s rappers come together to continue hip hop’s tradition of social change involvement. Listen to the track below and buy it on iTunes
