Missouri City, Texas emcee Jay Von drops his new single “Cop Killin” on the brand new “Support Street Radio Vol.1” Compilation LP. The controversial new single is just released on May 15th through Support Street Music Group’s label deal via Empire Distribution.
The 19 track LP was the pet project of SSMG aka Support Street Music Group’s (which is a refrence to the city street in Houston where the team originated) CEO Young Pro. The rapper, producer, artist, promoter is now also the successful head of a record label. That is a far step for a kid who was living the street life not to long ago in San Diego. Even though Young Pro has gone business his music and the music he promotes does tend to push a line with the content and some people. That’s a credit to Young Pro and his courage to tackle these issues.

Putting this song on a nationwide compilation LP is another example of that. Many may disagree with the song and it’s content. But the feeling is felt by many in communities across the country. As Jay Von says “Fuck The Police…Cause what happend in Missouri, happens in Missouri City. I done seen it, I done lived it, wrongful searches, lame tickets, all because the car I sit in matches the description, They say I look suspicious but I know its my PIGMENT”. The track goes on to have more lyrics that make some angry and others sad. Take a listen to the new single and form your own opinion of the song.
