Screech has gotten himself into some trouble.

Dustin Diamond, the actor best known for his role as the loveable dweeb on the early 1990s TV show “Saved By The Bell,” was charged Friday after allegedly stabbing a man in a Wisconsin bar fight.

Port Washington police in Ozaukee County said Diamond stabbed a man inside the Grand Ave. Saloon around 11:15 p.m. on Christmas, then tried to flee with his girlfriend in a white SUV. Police quickly pulled Diamond over and arrested him.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was said to be recovering at home.

Diamond, 37, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors, the Port Washington Police Department said. Diamond’s 27-year-old girlfriend also was charged with disorderly conduct.

He appeared Friday afternoon in Ozaukee County court, where bail was set at $10,000.

Diamond’s agent declined comment to The Associated Press on Friday. No attorney was listed in court records.

Diamond has been no stranger to controversy since his days as a child star ended. In 2006 he directed and released his own sex tape, and in 2009 he published a book about his days on “Saved By The Bell” that described the teen cast as a hard-partying, sex-crazed bunch. The rest of the cast has disputed his description of the behind-the-scenes environment.

His book was recently turned into a Lifetime TV movie.
